Q:Where can I find the parts of the clock to open the secret passage to the third floor?
A:In the south of balustrade on the second floor (above the ballroom), there is a tool box with a chuckoo, which is of course an essential part of any self-respecting clock :)

Q: I've put the chuckoo into the clock. Now what?
A: After you've put the chuckoo in the clock, turn the hands to twelve o clock and wait a moment. Now a secret door will open. The way behind will lead to the third floor. (You can also climb over the balcony, but that is tricky).

Q: I cannot find the correspondence from Gervasious to the mechanists. Where is it?
Q: What's the deal with the ghosts in the library? Is there some way to put them to rest?
A:

  • in lower level of the library, read the four books
  • open the secret door to the corpses by "frobbing" a certain book left of the secret door
  • apparition will vanish, correspondence karras - gervasius and another letter appears
  • read the correspondence and the letters

Q: OK, I did all that, but still cannot find the correspondence - what is its location?
A: The correspondence appears just at the location of where the appartion has been, when it disappeared. Or check the very SE of the higher level of the library, for that is where I found the two scrolls. (2 in the bookcases, one on the table, one on the window cill.)
- This is for the unpatched version; location may vary depending on patch and difficulty.

Q: How do I turn off the traps/gas...?
A: Don't turn it on. The trapped carpets trigger the release of the gas, so better don't step on 'em - use rope/vine arrows shot in the ceiling to get over that floor section tarzan-style.
OK, if you want to "stay on the carpet", you need to turn off the alarm systems. Use the three switches below the three coloured lights (red, green, violet) at the foyer in the 3rd floor. Each switch turns off one of the alarm systems. The colours denote which one - green for the green room etc. Don't turn off more than one! Before you deactivate the second, re-activate the first and so on. [needs confimation, Lytha prefers vine arrows :)]

Q: On the NE of the third floor is a locked door which I can't open with any of my keys or the lockpicks. How can I open it?
A: You can bash it open, using heavvy objects, you blackjack or preferably your sword. Behind the door is only a pretty useless elevator.
